CREASE
A Crease is a sharp line at the bottom of the dent. This can be very difficult to repair, and virtually impossible to fix 100% using PDR. This means that you can only reduce the dent. What can you say to the customer? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
HIGH
A High is a raised bump. This can be caused by PDR when removing a low. How can this happen? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
This can also be caused by an object left under the panel. Beware of damaged paint work with this type of dent. If paint is damaged, what should you do? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
FLAT
A flat is just a low with a flat base, usually caused by working too near the centre of the damage too soon. Always work from the edges inwards.
RIPPLE
A ripple is a collection of highs and lows. If a dent that has been overworked, the metal loses its memory, becomes rigid and is impossible to repair. Should this happen, is there anything you can do? ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
