- Whilst asking questions, ensure that you obtain actual examples of what he did in a previous job and not hypothetical answers. We are trying to establish dimensions to his person that he would have displayed previously. This means that you need to get the actual event as well as the outcome from him – was his idea, etc. successful or not. You do not have to ask all of the questions under each dimension – choose one that you are comfortable with. However, if the applicant does not answer the question completely then you will have to ask another one from that dimension until you are able to assess whether the applicant displays the dimension or not.
Only once you have been through these questions, do you assess whether you would give him the opportunity to go on the assessment or not.
